Brogan Bennett fired a second round 68 on day two of the Mountain East Conference Fall Classic to move into a tie for
medalist with Wheeling University's Ryan Courtney. Bennett;s second round included three-birdies, one-eagle and one-bogey on his final hole of the round. Bennett now has a two-day total 141 (-3) and has 18-holes to play Wednesday in the final round.
Three other Topper golfers are all tied for 12th overall with identical two-day scores of 152 (+8)
Jayson Beckner who had a 74 (+2) in round two,
Justin Doerr with a 77 (+5) and
Noah Seivertson with a second round 79 (+7).
As a team the Toppers sit at 593 (+17) two strokes behind the University of Charleston 591 (+15). Davis & Elkins is third at 597 (+21) and Wheeling is fourth 602 (+26).
The final round is Wednesday at the Glade Springs Resort Cobb Course in Daniels, W.Va.
