Steubenville, Ohio – The West Liberty University men's golf team concluded the 2-day West Liberty Invitational in sixth place on the team leaderboard. The Hilltoppers turned in a final round score of 305 (+17) to bring their 54-hole total to 902 (+38) on Tuesday at the Steubenville Country Club.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Justin Doerr finished as the highest ranking West Liberty golfer in the tournament, carding a third round score of 76 (+4) to bring his 3-round total to 222 (+6) to tie for 12^th overall.
• Playing as an individual, Noah Seivertson recorded a 77 (+5) on Tuesday to finish in a tie for 14^th with a score of 224 (+8).
• Bo Orecchio carded the lowest round of the day for the Black & Gold with a 73 (+1) to finish at 225 (+9) for a tie for 16^th overall.
• Awethu Mkhwanazi finished his first tournament of the season in a tie for 25^th overall, rounding out the day at the Steubenville Country Club with a 78 (+6) to bring his total score to 230 (+14).
• Ethan Cook tallied a third round of 79 (+7) for a 54-hole total of 231 (+15) and a 27^th place finish.
• Brandon Lawhon and Derek Graham rounded out the Hilltopper team lineup with scores of 232 (+16), tying for 28^th overall. Lawhon carded a final round of 77 (+5) while Graham ended the tournament with a round of 80 (+8).
• The final two individuals playing for West Liberty were Cao Yixing and Jayson Beckner, finishing 48^th and 49^th overall. Yixing concluded his season debut with a 81 (+9) for a 3-round score of 242 (+26), while Beckner ended the day with an 83 (+11) for a 54-hole score of 246 (+30).
