West Liberty, W.Va. – This past week, July 13-15, the West Liberty University women’s basketball program hosted their annual individual skills camp in the friendly confines of the ASRC. With more than 60 campers converging on the hilltop for the 3-day event, the turnout resulted in the largest individual skills camp since prior to 2020.
The individual skills camp for girls entering 3rd-8th grades, focused on basketball skill development led by the Hilltopper coaching staff, current WLU women’s basketball student-athletes, and program alumni.
To kick off the second day of camp, Jaclyn Kitts, who was a member of the 2018-19 WLU squad that reached the NCAA Division II Tournament, hosted a chalk talk discussing hard work, adversity, and success. “We are fortunate to have excellent student-athletes and women’s basketball alumni support who make our individual skills camp here on the hilltop a success,” stated WLU Associate Head Coach, Cassie Seth.
