Riley Schenk has announced the newest additions to the Hilltopper Volleyball squad. Four incoming freshmen have inked their NLI's with West Liberty, while transfer 
Page Gross is on campus practicing with the team this spring.
Page Gross
6'2" | Middle Blocker / Right Side | Hudson, Ohio | Hudson HS (Robert Morris University) | Maverick Volleyball Club 
Gross comes to the hilltop after spending two seasons at Division I Robert Morris University. She saw action in 80 sets last season after playing in 24 her freshman year with the Colonials. Gross led the RMU team in blocks per set (0.59) and was second with 47 total blocks. Prior to RMU, she was a standout at Hudson High School. Gross earned a pair of AVCA Phenom Watch List nods in 2019 and 2020. She was named the season MVP and Offensive Player of the Year in 2020-21 and led the Suburban League in blocks as well as hitting percentage in 2019-20. Page is majoring in Psychology at WLU.
Coach Schenk Says:
"I am thrilled that we get to add Page to our team for this Spring season.  She has adjusted nicely to the team, our culture, and campus already. She comes from a high level of playing backgrounds in her volleyball career. We foresee her being able to help us win with how versatile she is offensively and defensively."
Adrienne Staib
6'1" | Middle Blocker / Right Side | Fenton, Mich. | Fenton HS | Legacy Volleyball Club
Staib is a highly decorated middle blocker / right side hitter out of Michigan. She was named to the AVCA Phenom Watch List, AVCA All-American List, and Prep Dig Top Hitter List competing for Fenton High School and the Legacy Volleyball Club. Staib also picked up first team all-region and all-conference honors, while being selected to the All-Area Dream Team. She was a team captain for the Tigers and was tabbed the State Bank and ABC 12 Athlete of the Week. Adrienne had a perfect 4.0 GPA in high school and is undecided on her major at WLU.

"I am so pumped to have Adrie join our program. She comes from a high level playing background and is versatile in the middle and on the right side offensively and defensively.  She is passionate about volleyball and West Liberty and will be a great addition to our team on and off the court."
Ashley Cudnik
5'10" | Outside Hitter / Defensive Specialist | Canal Fulton, Ohio | Northwest HS | Elite Sports Ohio Volleyball Club
Ashley is the sister of current Hilltopper 
Riley Cudnik. She was a multisport standout at Northwest High School becoming the first player in school history to earn 1,000 kills, 1,000 digs, and 1,000 points in basketball. Cudnik has been a force on the varsity roster since her sophomore season, when she collected Offensive Player of the Year along with first team all-conference and all-district honors. She repeated in the all-conference and all-district categories, while adding first team all-county and MVP to the resume in both her junior and senior seasons. Ashley earned a perfect 4.0 GPA in high school and is planning to major in either Speech Pathology or Exercise Physiology at WLU.

"I am so happy to be getting another Cudnik sister on our roster! Ashley is a fiery player and a really great all around athlete. She is dynamic offensively and defensively as a volleyball player and will help add depth to our roster!"
Kylie Hanson
5'11" | Setter | Algonquin, Ill. | Dundee-Crown HS | Sky High Volleyball Club
Hanson is a 5'11" athletic setter for the Dundee-Crown Chargers and Sky High Volleyball Club. She was named to the Fox Valley All-Conference team and Northwest Herald All-Area team as a member of the Chargers. The superstar setter was also voted best team spirit by her teammates. Kylie studied her way to a perfect 4.0 GPA in high school and is set to pursue a degree in Exercise Physiology at WLU.
Coach Schenk Says:
"I have loved Kylie from the moment we started recruiting her early on. She has a very high volleyball IQ and is so willing to work to improve her craft. She has the potential to be a huge impact player for our program and I am excited to get her on campus soon!"
Dakoda Keni
5'8" | Setter | Kahuku, Hawaii | Kahuku High & Intermediate School | North Shore Volleyball Club
Keni is the first WLU Volleyball signee out of Hawaii ever. She was a key player on back-to-back OIA championship winning squads at Hawaii-powerhouse Kahuku. Dakoda earned a perfect 4.0 GPA in high school and is planning to major in Exercise Physiology at WLU.
Coach Schenk Says:
"I am so excited to have Dakoda joining WLUVB from the island of Oahu, HI. Dakoda is going to add versatility to our roster as a talented player in many areas. She will push our team to get better on the court and we are excited to have her!"
