MONSEY, N.Y. - The West Liberty University women's tennis team started its fall season with a sweep of Dominican University New York this afternoon at Manny Welder Park.
Emma Arnal started the string of two-set victories with a 6-3, 6-2 at singles #1.
Daria Shchoma double-bageled her opponent in the five spot.
Nathalia Valencia surrendered just one game with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at #4.
Evelina Martirosyan completed her sweep in singles #2 with identical 6-1, 6-1 scores.
Gemma Cliffe rounded out the wins with a 6-2, 6-2 win at #3.
In doubles, the Arnal/Cliffe combo dominated in the #1 spot with a 6-0 win. Martirosyan/Valencia picked a 6-3 win to finish the 7-0 sweep for West Liberty. Dominican (N.Y.) defaulted the last spot in both singles and doubles.
