WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. - The West Liberty University men's golf team has announced its competition schedule for the upcoming fall season. Five invitationals along with the Mountain East Championships make up the Hilltoppers campaign.

The invitational slate features a home match, two trips to Mountain East Schools, and two to Pennsylvania. The season kicks off at the Vulcan Invitational in California, Pa. over the weekend of September 3.

Coach Thadd Obecny's team will be the host on September 25 at the Steubenville Country Club in the last tune-up event before the MEC Championships.

A return to the Golden Eagle Invitational in Charleston, W.Va. and the Mercyhurst Invitational in Erie, Pa. fill in the schedule between the season-opener and home tournament.

The Hilltoppers will look to make the leap into first place after finishing runner-up the past two years at the conference championship which will take place October 2-5. 

Davis & Elkins hosts the Wally Edgell Invitational the following week, where West Liberty will finish their fall slate.
