WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. - West Liberty's Gianluca Gerndt was ranked 17th in the Atlantic Region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association in the latest edition of the NCAA Division II ITA Collegiate Tennis Regional Rankings sponsored by Tennis-Point.

Gerndt won his first two matches at the ITA Atlantic Regional Championships in September before bowing out in the round of 16. Overall on the fall season, the Hilltoppers' #1 singles player went 3-2.

National Rankings include the Top 50 singles players and Top 25 doubles teams, while the Regional Rankings include the Top 20 singles players and Top 10 doubles teams.

The Hilltoppers' spring schedule will be released later this winter.
