WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – West Liberty University men's tennis standouts Barney Cowan and Pablo Zubieta have been named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Team, recognizing their excellence both on the court and in the classroom.

Cowan, a junior from Manchester, England, has maintained a 3.71 cumulative GPA as a marketing major, continuing to balance a strong academic load with his contributions to the Hilltopper lineup. His consistency in the classroom mirrors his steady presence on the court throughout the season.

Zubieta, a graduate student from Mexico City, México, earned his spot on the Academic All-District® Team after posting a 3.5 cumulative GPA while completing his MBA. Zubieta has brought veteran leadership to the program while excelling in graduate-level coursework.

The CSC Academic All-District® Team honors student-athletes who have achieved high standards academically while competing at a high level in their respective sports. Nominees must meet strict criteria for both grade-point average and participation.
