2022 Marietta Open Results
   MARIETTA, Ohio –
Adam O'Donnell broke his own school record in the long jump here Friday night as the West Liberty University men's and women's track teams resumed their indoor season at the Marietta (Ohio) Open.
   O'Donnell became the first Hilltopper to surpass seven meters in the long jump, soaring 7.02 meters (23 feet, one-half inch) to break his previous school standard by more than a foot.
   Other winners for the Black and Gold on Friday included
Kelsi Hulit in the women's shot put and
Reese Burnside in the pole vault.
   Also making their presence felt for the women were
Olivia Combs, third in the triple jump;
Mara Pendergrast, fourth in the high jump,
Kennedy Martin and
Kaylee Savage, third and fifth, respectively, in the shot put and
Abbe Stackpole, who took sixth in the 55- and 200-meter sprints.
   On the men's side,
Tavian Richardson was fifth in the mile run while
Dillon Meintel,
Mikhi Anderson and Liam Venskovich finished second, third and fourth, respectively, in the high jump.
   The West Liberty track teams return to action on Jan. 21-22 when they head to Ohio compete in the Spire Midwest Open.
