CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The West Liberty University men's tennis team wrapped up its regular-season slate here Saturday with a 6-1 loss to West Virginia Wesleyan at the Charleston Tennis Club.
Isfan Makhumudov and
Daisuke Aota teamed up for a 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles but Wesleyan prevailed at the Nos. 1 and 3 spots to take a 1-0 lead into singles play.
Hilltopper senior
Anton Schulz impressed with a straight-set win against the Bobcats' Harry Simaioforidis, 6-3 7-5, but none of his teammates could break through as Wesleyan avenged an early-season loss to the Black and Gold.
The West Liberty men return to action next weekend in the Mountain East Conference Tournament in Charleston.
