FROSTBURG, Md. – The West Liberty University men's tennis team defeated Frostburg State, 7-0, here Saturday in a Mountain East Conference match on the debuting Bobcats' home courts.
Coach Ronnie Hulewicz's Hilltoppers (3-3, 3-1) grabbed the early lead by sweeping all three doubles matches to take the doubles point.
The Black and Gold followed up with wins in all six singles matches. The match of the day came at No. 1 singles between WLU's
Isfandiyor Makhumudov and Frostburg State's Origen Grear. Makhumudov won the first set by a 6-3 count but Grear rebounded for a 6-4 win in the second set. The Hilltopper standout dominated the tiebreaker, 10-4.

Derek Roehner and
Nick Millner all won in straight sets with Schulz, Gerndt and Roehner prevailing at love and love.
The West Liberty men won't be back in action again until March 27 when they step out of conference for a 2 p.m. match at Cedarville (Ohio).
