INDIANA, Pa. – The West Liberty University women's tennis team couldn't bounce back from an early deficit here Tuesday as No. 24-ranked Indiana (Pa.) snapped WLU's four-match winning streak with a 9-0 victory in a battle of regionally-ranked teams at the Maple Street Courts.
Coach
Heather Gallagher's Hilltoppers (12-5), ranked No. 6 in the Atlantic Region, found themselves in a 3-0 hole coming out of the doubles competition.
The host Crimson Hawks (9-3), the region's No. 1-ranked squad, finished off the sweep with six straight-set wins in singles action.
The West Liberty women will look to rebound on April 5 when they host Edinboro (Pa.) in a 2 p.m. match at the Edgar Martin Tennis Complex.
