Hilltopper Netters Rout Cedarville

CEDARVILLE, Ohio – The West Liberty University men's tennis team rolled to an 8-1 rout of Cedarville here Friday afternoon at the Johnson-Murdoch Tennis Complex.
Coach Sam McCullough's Hilltoppers (10-3) grabbed an early lead by winning two of the three doubles matches before pulling off a clean sweep of the six singles matches to sting the Yellow Jackets (10-5).
Baptiste Perrin and Santiago Gutierrez won their No. 1 doubles match and went on to post wins at No. 1 and No. 2 singles for the Black and Gold.
Martin Moncayo and Pablo Cimorra teamed up for an 8-2 win at No. 3 doubles and followed that up with straight set wins at No. 4 and No. 5 singles.
Matt Tully earned a straight set win at No. 3 singles and Luke Flanagan rolled to a 6-0 6-1 victory at No. 6 singles to wrap up the WLU scoring.
Ranked No. 2 in the Atlantic Region, the Hilltoppers head south on Saturday for an 11 a.m. match at No. 1-ranked Bluefield State.
