WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty University men's tennis team had an easy time of it against Fairmont State here Saturday afternoon, breezing to a 9-0 whitewash of the outmanned Falcons at the Edgar Martin Tennis Complex.

Sam McCullough's defending Mountain East Conference champions swept the three doubles matches to jump out to a commanding 3-0 lead before reeling off six straight-set wins in singles to complete the sweep.

Luke Flanagan were singles winners for the hosts. Ponder and Gutierrez teamed up for the nod at No. 1 doubles with Moncayo and Perrin breezing to an 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles. Flanagan combined with
Pablo Cimorra for an 8-2 nod at No. 3 doubles.
The Hilltoppers (2-0) head to Charleston this weekend to compete in the annual Intercollegiate Tennis Association Atlantic Region Challenge
