SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – The West Liberty University women's tennis team opened the Mountain East Conference portion o
f their fall schedule in dominating fashion here Sunday, rolling to an 8-1 victory at Shepherd.

Heather Gallagher's Hilltoppers (2-1, 1-0) grabbed a quick lead by taking two of the three doubles matches and finished with a flourish by sweeping all six singles matches in straight sets.

Lisa Nachtwey claimed singles wins for West Liberty. Cabero and James teamed up for the win at No. 1 doubles with Dawson and Pinchuk rolling to an 8-1 verdict at No. 2 doubles.
The Lady Hilltoppers head to Erie, Pa. on Saturday to compete in the ITA Regional Tournament.
