Box Score SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – The West Liberty University women's basketball team cracked the century mark for the second time this season Saturday afternoon, sprinting away to a 102-78 rout of Ursuline (Ohio) on the final day of the Notre Dame (Ohio) Holiday Classic.
Despite playing without three injured regulars for the second straight game, Coach
Lynn Ullom's Hilltoppers (6-3) jumped out to a double-digit lead midway through the opening half and the Arrows (2-10) never threatened.
West Liberty carried a 53-38 lead into the locker room at intermission and led by as many as 31 points down the stretch in posting their highest point total since a 108-80 victory against Tusculum (Tenn.) on Dec. 1.
Liz Flowers poured in a game-high 29 points despite fouling out with more than 8 minutes to go.
Kiki Simpson posted her second consecutive double-double with 21 points and 13 rebounds while
Janay Bottoms made a huge contribution off the bench with 16 points, 8 assists and 6 rebounds – all career-highs – spurred by a career-high 8-for-8 showing from the charity stripe.
Kailee Howe rounded out the double-figure scorers with 11 points.
Makayla Rosselot had 23 points for Ursuline.
The Lady Hilltoppers will spend Christmas week with their families before returning to action on New Year's Eve to host No. 6-ranked Adelphi (N.Y.). Tipoff is set for 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 31 at the ASRC.

X Simpson passed the 500-rebound milestone with her first retrieve on Saturday. She now ranks 19th all-time at West Liberty with 512 career rebounds
X Flowers, who was coming off a 40-point game against Cedarville on Friday, came up one point shy of her own school record for points in back-to-back games. The junior standout had totaled 70 points last year against W.Va. Wesleyan (Jan. 11, 2014) and Glenville State (Jan. 13, 2014)
X The Lady Hilltoppers have now made at least one 3-pointer in 626 consecutive games, a streak that dates back to the 1993-94 season
X The New Year's Eve game against No. 6 Adelphi (N.Y.) will be the 700th game of Ullom's coaching career. Now in his 24th season at WLU, he has averaged more than 20 wins a season with a career mark of 478-221 (.684)
