    WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty University men's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to West Virginia Wesleyan Thursday afternoon in a West Virginia Conference match at the Edgar Martin Tennis Complex.
    The Hilltoppers found themselves in an early hole after the visiting Bobcats swept the three doubles matches and West Liberty couldn't get anything going in singles play, winning only one of the six matches as Wesleyan coasted to the victory.
    Ayman Barakat provided a bright spot for the hosts with a straight-set victory at No. 4 singles.
    The Hilltoppers step out of conference play on Saturday with a 1 p.m. match at Cedarville (Ohio).
