SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – The West Liberty University women's tennis team pitched a shutout against Shepherd here on Sunday, rolling to a 9-0 win on the Rams' home courts.
Coach Heather Gallagher's Hilltoppers (3-2, 2-0) didn't lose a set in handing Shepherd (3-2, 3-1) its first WVIAC loss of the season.
Lauren Howard, Emma Windsor, Raissa Wischi, Alexandria Barr, Christina Pauley and Moleigh Poling all posted singles victories for West Liberty.
The Hilltoppers' victorious doubles tandems were Howard and Wischi, Windsor and Barr, and Pauley and Sarah Howells.
The West Liberty women are back on the road Tuesday with another WVIAC match at Fairmont State. Action gets under way at 4 p.m. in Fairmont.
