WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty University women's tennis team picked up its second victory in as many days on Wednesday, rolling to a 9-0 rout of winless Davis & Elkins in a make-up match at the Edgar Martin Tennis Complex.
Coach Heather Gallagher's Hilltoppers (4-4, 4-2) lost only three games in sweeping the opening doubles matches and claimed straight-set wins against the Senators (0-11, 0-9) in all six singles matches.
Raissa Wischi, Marina Quintana, Emma Windsor, Ali Prather, Kayla Saunders and Mollie Poling were the singles winners for West Liberty. Victorious in doubles play were Quintana and Windsor (No. 1), Wischi and Prather (No. 2) and Poling and Sarah Howells (No. 3).
The Hilltoppers step out of conference on Thursday afternoon with a 3:30 p.m. match at St. Vincent's (Pa.).
