GETTYSBURG, Pa. — The West Liberty University men's golf team finished sixth in the rain-shortened WCU Battlefield Classic Monday at The Links at Gettysburg.
The scheduled second and final round was canceled Tuesday because of rain and course conditions, leaving Monday's opening round as the tournament's only completed round.
West Liberty finished with a team score of 312, 24-over par, to place sixth. West Chester captured the team title at 8-over par with a score of 296, followed by West Chester B at 299. Gannon and Millersville tied for third at 305, while Chestnut Hill finished fifth at 307.
Ethan Cook and
Justin Doerr led the Hilltoppers, both carding 4-over-par rounds of 76 to tie for 11th individually.
Chatum Courson followed with a 79 and tied for 29th, while
Adam Gill and Campbell Koegler each shot 81 to tie for 35th. Competing as an individual, Campbell Stewart carded a 78 to tie for 25th.
Chestnut Hill's Alex Brendlinger, West Chester's Patrick Carl and West Chester B's Nathan Radwanski shared the individual lead at 1-under-par 71.
