Hilltoppers Celebrate Seniors in Home Finale Against No. 11 Glenville State

WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty University acrobatics & tumbling team honored three seniors Sunday afternoon in its home finale before falling to No. 11 Glenville State, 260.460–236.075, inside the ASRC.

 The Hilltoppers also recognized seniors Maryn Donnelly, Bella Paternoster, and Olivia Kniola for their contributions to the program.

On the mat, West Liberty (3-7) faced a strong Glenville State squad and battled throughout the meet.

The Hilltoppers opened with a 34.85 in the compulsory event, highlighted by a 9.30 in the pyramid heat. West Liberty continued to show consistency in the pyramid event later in the meet, totaling 28.25 with strong scores of 9.60 in both the synchronized and open heats.

West Liberty added 25.80 points in the acro event and 23.75 in toss, while the tumbling event produced a 46.625 total, paced by an 8.775 in the aerial pass and a team-best 9.025 in the open pass.

The Hilltoppers closed with a 76.800 in the team event to finish with a total score of 236.075.

West Liberty will now turn its attention to the Mountain East Conference Championships, set for April 10-11.
