WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. — West Liberty University track and field standouts Ky'Ara Ross and Timber Huysmans have been named 2026 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field All-Region selections, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) recently announced.

The honor recognizes the top five performers in each event from every region, along with members of the region's top three relay teams. Ross earned the distinction in the women's long jump, while Huysmans was recognized in the men's 200 meters.

Ky'Ara Ross, a junior from Canton, Ohio, earned All-Region honors after another outstanding indoor campaign in the long jump.

Ross claimed her third consecutive Mountain East Conference Indoor Long Jump Championship, soaring 5.90 meters (19-4.25) at the MEC Championships held at Marshall University. The victory added to her conference titles in 2024 and 2025, establishing her as one of the league's most dominant field athletes.

Ross' strong season included multiple event victories. She captured first place at the Youngstown State Last Chance Invitational with a leap of 5.78 meters (18-11.75), earning MEC Women's Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week honors. Earlier in the season, she also won the long jump at the Ashland Invitational with a mark of 5.67 meters (18-7.25).

At the conference championships, Ross showcased her versatility across multiple events. In addition to her long jump title, she set a school record in the triple jump, placing seventh with a leap of 10.85 meters. She also turned in strong performances on the track, finishing second in the 60 meters (7.732) and fourth in the 200 meters (25.31).

Ross competes in sprints and jumps for the Hilltoppers and attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School.

Timber Huysmans, a senior sprinter, earned All-Region honors in the men's 200 meters after a record-breaking indoor season.

Huysmans established a new West Liberty school record in the event with a time of 21.45, a mark that ranks among the top times in NCAA Division II this season and secured his place among the top five performers in the Atlantic Region.

The senior has been one of the Hilltoppers' top performers throughout the indoor season, consistently delivering strong results in the sprint events.

The USTFCCCA All-Region awards recognize top performers across the Atlantic, Central, East, Midwest, South, South Central, Southeast, and West regions.
