West Liberty, W.Va. – The West Liberty University men's basketball team continued its upward climb on the national stage Tuesday, moving up three spots to No. 13 in the latest NABC Top 25 Coaches Poll.
The Hilltoppers rose from No. 16 to No. 13 after improving to 9-2 overall and a perfect 4-0 in Mountain East Conference play with a thrilling 101-97 road victory at Davis & Elkins on Saturday. The win marked West Liberty's fourth straight conference victory and reinforced its position as one of the top teams in NCAA Division II.
West Liberty's high-powered offense once again led the way against the Senators, eclipsing the 100-point mark for the sixth time this season while securing a tough road win in MEC play.
The Hilltoppers will look to build on their momentum as they return home to the friendly confines of the ASRC on Wednesday night. West Liberty is set to host Frostburg State in a key conference matchup, with tipoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
