YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — The West Liberty men's and women's indoor track and field teams wrapped up competition at the YSU Mid-Major Invitational on Saturday, turning in several top finishes and setting a new school record.
On the women's side, Hannah Rowan led the way in the 400 meters with a fifth-place finish in 59.35, while Brookelyn Reynolds followed closely in eighth at 1:00.13. Marissa Scott added a sixth-place showing in the 60-meter hurdles, crossing the line in 9.28.
In the field events, Ky'Ara Ross delivered a standout performance in the triple jump, setting a new school record with a leap of 10.75 meters while finishing ninth overall. Sierra Lanham placed third in the high jump, clearing 1.50 meters, and Sierra Davis recorded a seventh-place finish with a mark of 11.19 meters.
On the men's side, Francis Toohey posted an eighth-place finish in the 800 meters with a time of 1:56.24, while Zachary Workman followed in ninth at 1:56.34.
The Hilltoppers return to action next weekend at the Ashland Fifth Jud Logan Light Giver Open.
