WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. — The West Liberty University women's basketball team returns home Saturday afternoon to host Mountain East Conference foe Charleston in a 2 p.m. matchup inside the Academic, Sports & Recreation Complex.

West Liberty enters the contest at 6-13 overall and 3-9 in MEC play, looking to build momentum after a 74-61 road victory at West Virginia State earlier this week. The Hilltoppers are averaging 72.2 points per game, ranking fifth in the conference in scoring offense, and have leaned on perimeter shooting, knocking down 7.7 three-pointers per game while holding opponents below 30 percent from beyond the arc.

Anna Lucarelli leads the Hilltoppers offensively at 15.6 points per game, adding a team-high 72 assists. Olivia Baker provides another scoring threat, averaging 14.2 points per contest while shooting nearly 38 percent from three-point range. Reagan Vinskovich has been a steady presence in the paint, contributing 15.9 points and a team-best 7.9 rebounds per game.

Charleston comes to West Liberty with a 12-7 overall record and a 9-3 mark in conference play, currently sitting third in the MEC standings. The Golden Eagles are one of the league's top defensive teams, allowing just 62.1 points per game, and control the glass with a conference-best rebounding margin (+8.9).

Paris Stokes leads Charleston at 14.0 points per game, while Harper Annarino adds 11.1 points and a league-leading 9.5 rebounds per contest. Charleston earned a 73-67 win over West Liberty earlier this season in Charleston.

The Hilltoppers are 29-38 all-time against the Golden Eagles and will look to protect home court and close the gap in the season series on Saturday afternoon.

Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. Saturday at the ASRC.
