WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. — The West Liberty University women's wrestling team returns to action on Friday night, traveling to Frostburg State for a dual at the Bobcat Center.

Friday's matchup marks the first-ever meeting between the two programs. West Liberty is competing in its second season, while Frostburg State is in its third year of women's wrestling competition.

The Hilltoppers head into the dual following competition at the NWCA National Duals last weekend in Cedar Falls, Iowa. West Liberty closed the event on a high note, earning a 25-22 victory over Sioux Falls.

In the win over the Cougars, the Black and Gold secured key victories across the lineup. Trinity Howard delivered a first-period fall at 117 pounds, while Cassia Zammit posted a technical fall at 131 pounds. Makyah Newlun added another fall at 160 pounds, helping the Hilltoppers edge Sioux Falls in a tightly contested dual. Action begins at 7 p.m.
