West Liberty scored all 21 of its points in the second quarter, highlighted by two rushing touchdowns and a 35-yard touchdown pass. Concord countered with a balanced offensive attack, amassing 461 total yards — 391 through the air — and closing out the game with six touchdowns.
The Mountain Lions opened the scoring with a 65-yard drive capped by a touchdown pass from Tyler Mizzell to Dom Collins. The Hilltoppers answered early in the second quarter when Jaedon Alston punched in a 3-yard touchdown run to even the score at 7-7.
The second quarter turned into a back-and-forth battle. Later, Alston added his second rushing score to put WLU back in front, 21-20. Concord, however, closed the half with a field goal to carry a 23-21 advantage into the break.
The Mountain Lions pulled away after halftime, scoring three unanswered touchdowns across the third quarter and early fourth before play was halted due to weather.
Alston finished with 37 rushing yards and two touchdowns for the Hilltoppers, while Meisman completed 11 of 20 passes for 127 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. Singleton contributed two catches for 14 yards and a touchdown. Defensively, Nasir Lawrence paced WLU with a game-high 13 tackles.
