WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty University women's wrestling program has announced its 2025-26 schedule, marking its second season of competition and the first year that women's wrestling will be recognized as an official NCAA championship sport.
Head coach Troy Bell's Hilltoppers are set to compete in a mix of high-profile opens, duals, and home events throughout the season, highlighted by four competitions at the ASRC. The campaign begins Friday, Oct. 24 with the annual Black and Gold intrasquad event, giving fans their first look at the 2025-26 roster.
West Liberty's home slate features matchups against Point Park (Nov. 21), the Hilltopper Open (Nov. 23), the Hilltopper Duals (Dec. 21), and a Senior Night tri-dual against Tiffin and Waynesburg (Feb. 5).
The Hilltoppers will also hit the road for some of the nation's premier women's wrestling events, including the NWCA National Duals (Jan. 9-10, Cedar Falls, Iowa) and the Indiana Tech Open (Jan. 23-24, Fort Wayne, Ind.).
The postseason begins with the NCAA Super Region II Championships (TBD), where qualifiers will advance to the inaugural NCAA Women's Wrestling National Championships (Mar. 6-7, Coralville, Iowa).
