Meadville, Pa. – A pair of standout performances highlighted West Liberty's showing at the Marty Goldberg Gator Invite, hosted by Allegheny College on Thursday.
Sophomore Isaac Tavo continued his record-breaking season by winning the men's discus with a throw of 51.37 meters, setting a new school record in the process.
On the women's side, Ky'Ara Ross claimed the top spot in the long jump with a leap of 5.51 meters. Fellow Hilltopper Sierra Lanham also impressed, finishing fourth with a jump of 5.18 meters.
Tavo, Ross, and Lanham are set to compete again on Saturday at the WVU Last Chance Meet in Morgantown.
Meanwhile, distance runners Francis Toohey, Robert Allen, and Jasper Brown will be in action Friday at Baldwin Wallace University.
