West Liberty, W.Va. – West Liberty University sophomore Ky'Ara Ross capped off her historic season by competing at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field National Championships in Pueblo, Colorado, at the CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl.
Ross enjoyed a breakout year in the long jump, highlighted by her Mountain East Conference (MEC) outdoor title, where she set a new school record with a leap of 6.13 meters. Her indoor season was equally impressive, as she established both a program and MEC indoor record with a jump of 5.94 meters.
At the national championships, Ross posted a top mark of 5.71 meters, concluding an outstanding season that etched her name into the Hilltoppers' record books.
West Liberty will continue to be represented at the national meet as teammate Isaac Tavo is set to compete in the men's discus championship on Friday.
