West Liberty, W.Va. – The West Liberty University football team will kick off its 100th season in 2025 with a challenging slate that features four of its first five games on the road.
The Hilltoppers open the campaign on Thursday, August 28, traveling to Walsh for a 7 p.m. kickoff. They return home the following week for their home opener and second non-conference matchup, hosting Seton Hill on Saturday, September 6 at 1 p.m. inside West Family Stadium.
West Liberty then embarks on a three-game road swing. The stretch begins September 13 with a visit to FCS opponent Robert Morris at 6 p.m. The Hilltoppers dive into Mountain East Conference (MEC) play on September 20, heading to Frostburg State for a 1 p.m. matchup, followed by a trip to Concord on September 27, also with a 1 p.m. kickoff.
October begins on the hilltop with the Hall of Fame as West Liberty hosts West Virginia State on October 4 at 1 p.m. After a bye week, the Black and Gold return to the road on October 18 to face West Virginia Wesleyan in another 1 p.m. contest.
Homecoming will be celebrated October 25, when Glenville State visits for a 1 p.m. kickoff. The Hilltoppers will then enjoy their only back-to-back home games of the season, welcoming Fairmont State on November 1, also at 1 p.m.
West Liberty's final road trip comes November 8 as they head to Charleston for a 1 p.m. matchup, before closing out the regular season at home with a rivalry showdown against Ohio County foe Wheeling on November 15 at West Family Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
