4/29/2025 5:41:00 PM

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Hunter Patterson cemented his status as the fastest man in the Mountain East Conference on Tuesday, claiming the 100-meter title on the final day of the MEC Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Mylan Park.

Already crowned the MEC 60-meter indoor champion earlier this season, Patterson added the outdoor 100-meter title to his impressive resume with a winning time of 10.51 seconds. He nearly completed the sprint double in the 200 meters, falling just short in a photo finish. Patterson crossed in 20.950 seconds, narrowly edged by Timber Huysman of the University of Charleston, who clocked 20.948. Both times were MEC records and Patterson's mark set a new school record.
