Indianapolis, Ind. – West Liberty University junior sprinter Hunter Patterson capped off an outstanding indoor season by earning All-American honors at the NCAA Division II National Championships on Saturday.
Competing in the 60-meter final, Patterson finished seventh with a time of 6.76 seconds, solidifying his place among the nation's best.
The Chester, W.Va., native dominated throughout the season, winning the 60-meter dash at the Mountain East Conference Championships and setting both the WLU school record and the MEC record with a blistering time of 6.69 seconds. He also etched his name in the record books for the 200-meter dash, posting a school-best 21.46 seconds at the Spire Collegiate Games.
With the indoor season now behind him, Patterson shifts his focus to the upcoming outdoor campaign.
