TIFFIN, Ohio – The West Liberty University women's wrestling team saw its seven-dual win streak snapped on Saturday, falling 40-7 to No. 15 Tiffin at the Gillmor Center.
The loss drops the Hilltoppers to 9-3 in duals this season as they now turn their attention to Sunday's John Carroll Open in University Heights, Ohio.
Despite the tough matchup, Cynthia Pyatt (124 lbs.) and Isabell Kessey (160 lbs.) battled hard, each picking up a decision point for WLU. The Hilltoppers' lone victory came at 207 lbs., where Jamie Shapton earned a win by forfeit to put West Liberty on the board.
