West Liberty, W.Va. – The West Liberty University baseball team is set to return to action this weekend with a pair of matchups in Canton, Ohio.
The Hilltoppers will take on Malone in a Friday doubleheader at Thurman Munson Stadium, with the first pitch scheduled for noon. Last season, the Toppers split their four-game series winning both games played in Canton.
On Saturday, West Liberty will battle Pitt-Johnstown, also at Thurman Munson Stadium, with another noon start. The Hilltoppers will look to turn the tide after dropping all four meetings against the Mountain Cats last season.
West Liberty enters the weekend with a 1-4 record after a hard-fought 6-4 loss to Cedarville last Saturday at the Athletes in Action facility in Xenia, Ohio.
