Tiffin, Ohio – The West Liberty University women's wrestling team made history Saturday at the National Collegiate Women's Wrestling Region IV Tournament at Tiffin University, as five Hilltoppers punched their tickets to the National Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championships.

Skyelar Smith led the way with a third-place finish at 145 lbs., pinning Tiffin's Abigail Miller in just 1:20 to secure her spot at nationals. Grace O'Korn, also competing at 145 lbs., earned her bid with a fourth-place finish, defeating Miller as well with a fall at 1:39.

Three more Hilltoppers placed fourth in their respective weight classes:

• Jeulenea Khang (103 lbs.) – Pinned Kyleigh Honaker (Manchester) in 3:42

• Janiya Brogan (160 lbs.) – Earned her spot at nationals

• Jamie Shapton (207 lbs.) – Secured her bid with a strong performance

This marks a historic milestone for West Liberty's women's wrestling program, as these five competitors will now prepare for the National Championships, set for March 7-8 in Coralville, Iowa.
