Fairmont, W.Va. – The West Liberty University women's basketball team battled early but fell 94-60 to Fairmont State in a Mountain East Conference matchup on Saturday.
The Hilltoppers kept pace in the first half, trailing by just four points (37-33) at halftime. However, the Falcons took over in the third quarter, outscoring WLU 36-13 to seize control of the game. Fairmont dominated the second half 57-27 to secure the win.

The loss drops WLU to 8-16 overall (6-11 MEC), while Fairmont State improves to 20-4 (14-3 MEC), maintaining its lead atop the conference standings.
