West Liberty, W.Va. – The West Liberty University acrobatics and tumbling team is set for a major showdown as they host No. 15 Duquesne on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. inside the ASRC.
The Hilltoppers enter the matchup with a 1-2 record, having started the season strong with a victory over Wheeling before dropping a competitive tri-meet against Fairmont State and Glenville State last Sunday.
Hilltoppers' Highlights From Tri-Match:

Compulsory Event: WLU shined in the Pyramid Heat, scoring a 9.550, the highest mark of any team in that heat.

Toss Event: The Hilltoppers matched Fairmont State with a 9.650 in the Toss Heat, tying for the best score.

Acro Event: A strong performance in the 7-Element Acro Heat led to a 9.400.

Pyramid Event: WLU's Open Pyramid Heat was a standout, tying Fairmont State with a 9.750.

Tumbling Event: Kayla Gandy led the way in the Aerial Pass, scoring 9.275, just behind Fairmont State's 9.375. Gandy is the defending Mountain East Conference aerial tumbling champion.
Scouting Duquesne:
The Dukes (1-0) are coming off a 253.060 - 251.320 upset win over No. 3 Gannon in their season opener. Freshman Mia Dipner was named NCATA National Freshman of the Week for her standout performance.
