West Liberty, W.Va. – Ty McGeary, the No. 1-ranked wrestler in the country at 184 lbs., made history Saturday, becoming the first wrestler in Mountain East Conference (MEC) history to win four consecutive championships.
McGeary dominated Glenville State's Kyle Homet in the 184-lb. final, securing a 14-6 major decision victory. The win marks his third straight title at 184 lbs., following his 174-lb. championship in 2022. With the victory, McGeary also earned his fourth First-Team All-MEC honor, further cementing his legacy as one of West Liberty University's most decorated wrestlers.
