Charleston, W.Va. – The No. 14 West Liberty University men's basketball team overcame an early deficit to secure a 95-81 victory over Charleston in Mountain East Conference action on Saturday night.
The Golden Eagles came out strong, racing to a 20-7 lead. However, the Hilltoppers responded in dominant fashion, outscoring Charleston 43-20 the rest of the half to take a 50-40 advantage at the break.
Charleston battled back in the second half, tying the game at 64-64, but West Liberty answered with a decisive 10-0 run to reclaim control at 74-64, never looking back.

With the win, West Liberty improves to 17-3 overall and 11-2 in the MEC.
