Armstrong, Grace, Wood, Morgan, Winegardner, Blissenbach and Bentley Lead West Liberty at Indiana Little State

New Manchester, IN. - West Liberty University turned in a strong overall showing at the Indiana Little State Championship Saturday, highlighted by seven Hilltoppers reaching championship finals and four individual title winners.

At 133 pounds, James Armstrong Jr. dominated the field on his way to a championship. Armstrong recorded two tech falls and two first-period pins on his march to the final, where he secured the title with a 4–2 decision over Marian's Landon Bertsch.

The Hilltoppers also swept the top spot at 141 pounds, where Khyvon Grace continued his impressive season. The nationally ranked standout rolled to the title with two tech falls, two major decisions, and a 7–0 shutout in the championship bout.

At 149 pounds, Tony Wood was untouchable throughout the day, winning all five of his matches by bonus point—including four pins—before closing out the tournament with a 15–5 major decision in the finals.

In the upper weights, Parker Bentley added another championship for West Liberty by claiming the heavyweight crown. After opening with a fall and a tech fall, Bentley earned a major decision in the semifinals and capped his run with a 5–0 shutout in the first-place match.

West Liberty nearly swept the podium at 174 pounds, where Carter Winegardner and Gabe Blissenbach fought their way to an all-Hilltopper final. Both wrestlers recorded multiple bonus-point wins, including first-period falls and tech falls, before the teammates shared first - place due to a double-forfeit in the championship match.

The Hilltoppers added another finalist at 165 pounds, where Bodie Morgan advanced to the title bout on the strength of three pins and a tech fall. Morgan finished runner-up after falling in the championship round.

West Liberty also collected placement finishes from several other competitors. Nico Taddy finished fourth at 157 pounds after opening with three straight bonus-point wins, including two falls and a tech fall. At 174, Levi Abbott battled back through the consolation bracket to place fifth, winning five straight matches to close the day. Caiden Harbert added a fourth-place finish at 125 pounds.

The tournament also saw competitive outings from Brady Donovan (125), Blaise Parrill (125), Wyatt Hostuttler (133), Levi Richmond (141), Matt Englehardt (141), Lucas Zombotti (157), Braxton Miller (157), Tyson Mills (165), Kenny Alvarado (165), Anthony Gencarelli (197) Vincent Parke (285).
