WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. — The West Liberty University women's wrestling team returns to the mat Friday evening, hosting Point Park at 6:30 p.m. inside the ASRC. The Hilltoppers look to build on a strong start to the season as they prepare for their first home dual of the year.
West Liberty enters the matchup with momentum after an impressive start to November. The Hilltoppers produced six placers at the Tiffin Open, followed by a 3-1 performance at the Adrian Duals, notching wins over Brock (30–19), Delaware State (28–18), and Hiram (48–0). Their only setback came against perennial power North Central.
Head coach Troy Bell says the program is eager for another chance to compete on home soil while continuing to grow the sport.
"We are excited here at West Liberty to be hosting Point Park as we continue this historic year of NCAA women's wrestling. As West Liberty embarked on its inaugural season last year, Point Park will do the same this year. We are honored to be part of the ever-growing landscape of NCAA women's wrestling."

Scouting Point Park
Point Park enters the dual seeking its first team victory of the 2025–26 season. The Pioneers went 0–5 at the Adrian College Duals, dropping matchups against Adrian (9–33), Siena Heights (11–24), Hiram (10–25), Albion (0–34), and Aurora (4–30). Despite the slow start, the Pioneers showed competitiveness in several bouts and will look to challenge the Hilltoppers with a young roster gaining valuable experience in its inaugural campaign.
