West Liberty University standouts Ashley Cudnik and Dakoda Keni were recognized among the Mountain East Conference's best on Wednesday, earning All-MEC honors just one day before the Hilltoppers open postseason play.
Cudnik, a junior from Canal Fulton, Ohio, was named to the All-MEC First Team following a dominant regular season. She ranks second in the MEC in kills (375), kills per set (3.61), and points per set (3.97), while sitting third in total points (413). A true all-around performer, Cudnik is also second on the team in digs (322) and fourth in blocks (39.0), anchoring both the offensive and defensive efforts.
Keni, a junior setter from Kahuku, Hawaii, earned All-MEC Second Team honors after orchestrating one of the league's most efficient attacks. She ranks second in the conference in total assists (863) and assists per set (8.07). Keni enters the MEC Tournament on the brink of program history—just 37 assists shy of breaking West Liberty's all-time career assist record (2,555).
Together, Cudnik and Keni played pivotal roles in leading the Hilltoppers to their first-ever North Division championship.
West Liberty begins its postseason journey on Thursday at 2:30 p.m., taking on Concord in the MEC Tournament at West Virginia Wesleyan College.
