WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. — Fresh off securing their first Mountain East Conference North Division title since the league moved to divisional play in 2020, West Liberty enters the 2025 MEC Volleyball Championship as the North's No. 1 seed and one of the top contenders in this year's field.
The Hilltoppers (18-12, 10-4) earned the division crown on the final night of the regular season, emerging from a three-way deadlock with Fairmont State and Wheeling to claim the top spot through the league's tiebreaking procedures. Now, their focus shifts entirely to postseason play and a championship run.
Tournament Opens Thursday in Buckhannon
The MEC Tournament will be hosted by West Virginia Wesleyan — the South Division champion — at the Rockefeller Center from Nov. 20–22.
West Liberty begins its pursuit of a conference title on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. when it meets Concord, the No. 4 seed from the South.
The Hilltoppers swept the Mountain Lions in the regular season matchup and enter the postseason with momentum after closing league play strong.
