This league match saw West Liberty capitalize on their scoring opportunities, while Wesleyan managed just four shots throughout the game.
The first half began with West Liberty establishing early offensive pressure. Ethan Nethery and E.J. Sablan both tested Wesleyan's goalkeeper Matteo Marciani in the opening minutes, but their efforts were saved. At the 32nd minute, Alex Anderson broke through for the Hilltoppers, netting a goal with assists from Leyton Collier and Lachlan Quate, giving the home team a 1-0 lead.
West Liberty continued to maintain momentum, frequently challenging Marciani, who made several key saves. The persistence paid off again in the 39th minute when Quate, assisted by Travis Scandalis, scored to double the lead. The half closed with the Hilltoppers holding a 2-0 advantage over the Bobcats.
The second half began with an immediate impact from West Liberty, who maintained pressure on West Va. Wesleyan's defense.
