Prior to WLU: Played two years at Linfield University in McMinville, Oregon..........Sophomore Year: All NWC Second Team.......In two seasons scored 11 goals with six assists. 

High School: Played at Emerald Ridge High School in Puyallup, Washington.........Earned First Team SPSL. 

Off the field: EJ is the son of Tamara Benavente and Derrick Benavente........ He is majoring in Finance/Sports Management with a minor in Journalism.
