West Liberty, W.Va. – The West Liberty University men's and women's indoor track and field teams were back in action Friday, competing at the Penn State National Open and the YSU Mid-Major Invitational.
Penn State National Open Highlights
At State College, Pa., standout sprinter Hunter Patterson equaled his school record in the 60m dash, clocking in at 6.81 seconds, finishing 10th overall in a highly competitive field.
In the women's long jump, Ky'Ara Ross recorded the 12th-best leap of the meet at 5.45m, while Sierra Lanham finished 18th with a mark of 5.17m.
YSU Mid-Major Invitational Highlights
Over in Youngstown, Ohio, several Hilltoppers delivered strong performances:

Robert Allen finished 7th in the 5000m, clocking in at 15:57.84.

Jasper Brown set a personal record (16:05.93), securing 10th place in the 5000m.

Jacob Taylor finished 7th in the 60m dash (7.52 seconds) and 8th in the long jump (5.71m) as part of the heptathlon.

Jacob Huffman placed 7th in the shot put with a throw of 9.21m also as part of the heptathlon.

Isaac Tavo finished 7th in the weight throw with a top toss of 14.47m.
