Fort Wayne, Ind. – West Liberty University sophomore Jamie Shapton dominated the 207-lb. bracket to claim first place at the Warrior Women's Open on Saturday. Shapton's outstanding performance was one of several highlights for the Hilltoppers, who saw multiple wrestlers place and contribute to the team's overall success.
Shapton's path to the title included a 7-1 decision and a 12-4 major decision to reach the semifinals. She secured a fall at 2:10 in the semifinal and finished her day with a first-period pin in just 1:22 to secure the championship.

207 lbs. – Jamie Shapton: Shapton scored 23 team points, going undefeated with two falls and a major decision. She pinned Emily Jirousek (Mount Union) in the finals at 1:22.

160 lbs. – Isabell Kessey: Kessey placed third, scoring 21 team points. She recorded four falls, including a first-period pin in the third-place match at 1:10.

124 lbs. – Cynthia Pyatt: Pyatt earned a fourth-place finish, scoring 17.5 team points. She tallied two falls, including one in just 1:39.

145 lbs. – Skyelar Smith: Smith contributed 7.5 team points with three falls in the consolation rounds, including a decisive win over Nora Prather (Baker) in 2:55.

110 lbs. – Nila Bland: Bland scored 4.5 team points with two wins, including a technical fall and a late-round pin in 5:07.

180 lbs. – Janiya Brogan: Brogan added 5.5 team points with three technical falls in the consolation bracket, including a dominant 12-0 win over Paris Willis (Baldwin Wallace).
