Alliance, Ohio – The West Liberty University men's wrestling team had 15 wrestlers in action on Sunday at the Purple Raider Open, with several athletes advancing deep into their respective brackets.

Key Performances

• Christian Chavez (184 lbs.): Chavez posted a strong 3-3 record, advancing to the fifth-place match before an injury forced him to forfeit.

• Dradon Johnson (197 lbs.): Johnson also had a solid showing, going 3-2 and falling in the fifth round of consolation matches.

• Toby Abbott: Abbott won two matches but was sidelined by an injury during the consolation third round.

• Braxton Miller (149 lbs.): Miller finished 1-2, with his day ending in the fourth round of consolations.

• Breagan Pearson (174 lbs.): Pearson went 1-2, exiting in the third round of consolation matches.

• Oliver Byerly (174 lbs.): Byerly matched Pearson's 1-2 record, also bowing out in the third round of consolations.
