Grace Finishes as National Finalist, Three Hilltoppers Earn All-America Honors

Sioux Falls, S.D. – Three West Liberty University wrestlers earned All-America honors Saturday on the final day of the 2026 NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships, highlighted by a runner-up finish from Khyvon Grace, a third-place performance by Logan Davis, and a sixth-place finish from Nico Taddy.

Grace led the Hilltoppers with his second-place finish at 141 pounds, becoming a three-time NCAA Division II All-American and a two-time national finalist. The senior opened the tournament with a 3-0 decision over Colton Hush (Minnesota State) before edging Josh Taylor (Central Oklahoma) 4-3 in the quarterfinals.

Grace punched his ticket to the national championship match with another narrow victory, defeating Elijah Lusk (Lander) 4-3 in the semifinals. In the title bout, Grace battled Ronan Schuelke (McKendree) before falling in a tiebreaker, 5-2, to finish as the national runner-up.

At 125 pounds, Logan Davis rebounded from an early quarterfinal loss to put together an impressive run through the consolation bracket and claim third place, earning his spot on the podium.

After opening the tournament with a 4-3 decision over Eli Kirk (Central Oklahoma), Davis dropped a sudden-victory match in the quarterfinals. The Hilltopper responded with four straight wins in the consolation rounds, including a pin over Devin Gomez (Western Colorado) and a 17-3 major decision over Jack Parker (Grand Valley State) in the consolation semifinals. Davis closed out the tournament by defeating Kirk again, 4-2, in the third-place match to finish with 15.5 team points.

At 157 pounds, Nico Taddy secured All-America honors with a sixth-place finish after advancing through the consolation bracket.

Taddy opened with a 2-0 decision over Richie DeFulvio (Millersville) before falling in the quarterfinals. He responded with back-to-back wins in the wrestlebacks, including a 14-0 major decision over Brent Nicolosi (Mount Olive) to guarantee his spot on the podium. Taddy ultimately finished sixth after dropping matches in the consolation semifinals and fifth-place bout.

As a team the Hilltoppers finished 11th overall.
